Once again Muddytrax was asked to help out – this time by the BBC TopGear team! The aim of the day – to capture some footage of quad bikes racing about to include as a feature on the new series of TopGear programmes.

A chat took place. A venue was found. The hardware arrived and all the camps came out fighting with the best. They included the YZF450, 450R, TroyLee 500, DS650, Polaris 800, KVF750, TRX350, King Quad, Mule, Ranger, Drakart, Pilot, Rage, 2x8, Hover craft, WR450, RM250, KTM250, KTM Paris Dakar to name but a few. The Dirty Half Dozen arrived which included Jeremy Clarkson (JC), Richard Hammond and James May who were clearly eager for the day's challenges that lay ahead.

Paul Windrow takes a breath from his busy schedule. He sits comfortably on his custom race truck (05 Enduro Honda 450R) one foot resting on the rear tyre looking out onto the proceedings, taking in the stunning views. (Nice to meet you Paul. Good luck with the championship. RT)

We worked closely with the directing crew to assist with personal and hardware logistics, communication, recovery, suitable locations, safe execution and tracking (special thanks to JE/BS) amongst other things. They kept us busy all day. We are pleased to say that all went well except for the Hovercraft incident (JC) and the film crew got what they wanted. Everyone returned home safely if only a little tired.

Thanks to all the suppliers for the use of their products throughout the day.
